Prevention Is The Key To Great Health

Prevention Is The Key To Great HealthPrevention IS the key to great health, as well as feeling and looking younger, longer. But in today’s super-sized, fast paced, budget conscious world, choosing wellness can be a challenge.  Wellness is more than just being healthy, it’s about the energy you need to get more out of life.

The great news is that it is never to late to start, and these lifestyle changes are in your control.  We all know that good nutrition plays an essential role in maintaining your health, and sneaking healthy habits into your daily life is easier than you might think.

Doing something, no matter how small, is much better for you than doing nothing at all.  If you make small changes along the way, over time they will add up to improved changes in the quality of your overall health with physical activity, diet, ability to deal with stress, and the quality of your sleep. It really is true that prevention is the key to great health!

Why Is Prevention The Key To Great Health?

Small changes with fitness can make a difference, but the same principlesPrevention Is The Key To Great Health apply when eating. Try to cut down on sugar, reduce fat intake, and eat more veggies or fruit instead of eating a cookie will make a difference over time.

Some easy ways to improve nutrition is by purchasing whole foods (reducing processed, pre-packaged foods), buy organic when possible, avoid high fructose corn syrup, and eat lots of greens (improving your pH to slightly more alkaline). Vegetables and fruits contain essential minerals, vitamins, and fiber that may help protect you from chronic diseases.

Prevention is where our health care system must focus its attention. Scientific research continues to confirm that weight control, good nutrition, exercise, and supplementation can positively impact how you feel right now, as well as your health in the future. Visit another article I wrote to find out more tips about nutritional vitamins and supplements.

Hey Tracy!

It would be great if doctors and the medical community would take this to heart.

I’m 28 years old and my doctor pushed Lipitor on me for high cholesterol. I said to her…couldn’t I just fix this with more exercise and a healthier diet?

Thank you for the great post…now let’s get it out there to the masses! lol

Cheers,

Nick

Hey Nick,
Thanks for the comment.
I know, isn’t it terrible how most of the docs want to just put a “band aid” on the problem and not really fix it. I hope you have seen some improvement with your health, exercising and diet change?
That’s right…we need to spread the word to the world!
Thanks again, To Your Health,

You are so right. Prevention is KEY. I look at my father at 65 who has always taken care of himself, eaten well, didn’t smoke and exercised actively; he’ll literally run circles around 40 year olds. Its all about developing the right habits.

Great post!
Jesse

Hi Tracy!

Thanks for sharing your article with me today…I really appreciate it.

Prevention is a TOP PRIORITY in my book, this is why I turned vegetarian way back in 1996…in addition to respect for the Animal Kingdom as well.

One of my favorite books is ‘Diet For A New America’ by John Robbins.

Have a pleasant day…your tribal friend Steven Suchar :)

Hi Jesse,
Thanks for adding to the comments. Your father is a great role model for us all with his health…Wow! It’s sticking to those habits that is hard for some to do, hopefully it will become a lifestyle change.
To Your Health,
Tracy
